Sometimes, we just need great news in our lives. Thankfully, Californian heroes Grandaddy have announced details of their first album in over a decade – set for release on March 3rd.
‘Last Place’ is set to be Grandaddy’s first LP since 2006’s ‘Just Like The Fambly Cat’, produced by frontman Jason Lytle and full of that fuzz-packed goodness that we’ve missed for too bloody long.
To coincide with the announcement, the band have also given previously released single ‘Way We Won’t’ an accompanying video, showing why hitchhiking is still not a preferred method of transport anywhere in the world (especially in a desert).
Grandaddy will return to the UK next year, for a run of headline shows that kick off in Newcastle on March 26th – weaving their way through shows in Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol and Brighton before finishing up at The Roundhouse in London on April 3rd.
Tickets for the shows are on general sale from Friday (November 4th) with cheeky pre-sales available from Wednesday (November 2nd).
So check out that ‘Way We Won’t’ video below, along with the ‘Last Place’ tracklisting and those all important UK dates.
