The upcoming Barbie movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, has already caused a stir. With less than two months to go until its release, the details for the film’s soundtrack has now been announced, featuring some of the biggest names in music.
As well as the previously announced contribution from Dua Lipa – set for release tomorrow (26th May) – the impressive line-up includes tracks from Lizzo, HAIM, Charli XCX, Tame Impala and more.
The soundtrack has been teased in an image that sees Margot Robbie dressed in full Barbie attire, holding a newspaper with the names of 17 artists who are all lined-up to take part. Notably, Ryan Gosling, the film’s leading man, is also listed as one of the contributors. Gosling’s musical side was highlighted in the 2016 hit film ‘La La Land,’ in which he sang, danced and played the piano.
