Hak Baker has shared a new track, ‘Telephones 4 Eyes’

Stop looking at your phone. Apart from now. You can look at your phone now.

Hak Baker has shared a new single, ‘Telephones 4 Eyes’, to encourage us to look up from our phones.

The singer-songwriter has revealed the track, which was produced by Dan Carey, was inspired by his own observations of the “love affair” with technology that can lead to “blind ignorance”.

“I thought about the fact that our love affair with our telephones can ultimately bring us to our doom. By doom I mean blind ignorance,” he says. “People are looking for absolution and recognition from their phones. Sometimes we don’t even look up from our phones when another human is in front of us. Go to the gym or go outside, that will make you feel good. Talk to your mate, go and check them, physically. Sit next to them, you don’t even have to say a word. Put your phones away at the table. I need to listen to my own advice. Telephones 4 Eyes recognises the problem, where’s the solution?”
