Hauskey has released ‘Help!: Act III’, the third and final part of his mental health recovery mixtape

The four new tracks have arrived via slowplay / Republic Records.

Hauskey has shared ‘Help!: Act III’ today. It is the third release in a mixtape series documenting his mental health journey.

These four new tracks follow ‘Emilee: Act I’ and ‘Heartache & LSD: Act II’, which detail the depths of Hauskey’s depression and his initial attempts to push past it.

On the mixtape, Hauskey says: “This project follows my mental health journey from low to high—from being suicidal to loving life again. There’s a song for every stage; from utter depression, to getting help, to dealing with my self-worth and body image, to seeing how things might be brighter.”

The project has been a dark turn for the usually-bright artist, but this Australian indie-popper is letting go of his demons with this concluding chapter. “Act III is the final stage of my mental health journey,” he explains. “It’s Frodo dropping the ring into the lava. And it’s where I am now. It’s the result of therapy, exercise, setting boundaries, taking care of my sleep habits, working out who I am and what I want. It’s getting help, and continuing to do so. It’s remembering what Emilee did to me, and how I never want to return to that. It’s valuing myself. It’s staying in Act III for the rest of my life.”
