Here’s an order, have ‘Too Much Fun’ with Sea Girls’ new anthem in waiting

  • Dork News Desk
  • May 9, 2018
Continuing their charge to the biggest of stages, Sea Girls have laid out another absolute bobby dazzlah in the form of new number ‘Too Much Fun’.

Debuted on Monday night on Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 show, it’s another big-time slice of Sea Girls pie. Perfect for singalong nights and throwing yourself into joyous indie reckoning, it’s a track that shows exactly what Sea Girls do best. Big choruses, hearts on their sleeve and a band steadily becoming one of the most beloved in the country. We’re calling it now.

‘Too Much Fun’ is taken from their upcoming fresh new EP ‘Adored’, out on June 1st – marking a year since their very first release and capturing a year that has seen them play host to some absolutely massive scenes at headline shows and festivals alike.

Talking about ‘Too Much Fun’, frontman Henry Camamile said:

“It’s a city story about a complicated chaotic summer of love. It’s about capturing the excitement and anticipation from our youth.  Triggered by hearing a siren out the window, the lyrics are of memories flooding back of the previous summer’s excess, humour and playing with fire. And what’s more dangerous than crossing your best friend. Terrible behaviour”.

“The words “wanna see the king play in the park” harks to reading about Bowie playing at a bandstand in Beckenham and us all seeing the Kings Of Leon as kids forming the crazed idea of forming a band together one day that could support them”.

“Fundamentally it’s telling someone, maybe a friend that they party a little too much, too often. Maybe that’s the letter of love…”

Sea Girls have a packed summer ahead, with slots at festivals all over the country including The Great Escape, Barn On The Farm, Truck, 110 Above and Reading & Leeds – before their biggest UK headline tour to date rolls into town in October (including one of them big nights at London’s Scala to boot).

Run through all those headline shows below, right after you lock ‘Too Much Fun’ into your anthem folder for the year ahead okay?!
