Holly Humberstone has teased the arrival of a new track, ‘Can You Afford To Lose Me?’, next week.

The new track will arrive next Monday, October 24th, and marks her fourth release of the year, following ‘London Is Lonely’, ‘I Would Die 4 U’, and ‘Sleep Tight’.

Announced via social media late last night, October 18th, the news was delivered with audio of a demo recording as well as a clip of Humberstone performing the song at a piano, where she sings the following vocal passage:

“You were my home planet / you were my stars my holy place / but you took me for granted / right from the start now didn’t you babe / and I / wish you the best of luck in finding someone else whos strong enough / and I / this is the only time I cant be keeping you from fucking up”.

Could ‘Can You Afford To Lose Me?’ be part of the currently-untitled debut album, which is slated for release next year? We’ll have to wait a bit longer to know for certain.

Holly Humberstone will be touring the UK next month – tickets are available here.
