Introducing the Dork Festival Guide

  • Dork News Desk
  • March 14, 2017
Festival season. There’s loads of them, right? Festivals? Hundreds. You don’t have the money, or time, to go to hundreds of festivals though. You can pick a few, and you want to make sure they’re the right ones. But how do you compare the line-ups? How do you work out where your favourite bands are going to show up? What’s the best value? What’s happening near you?

It’s enough to make you need a holiday.

Thankfully, this year, we have your back. We’re launching the Dork Festival Guide. But this is us, so we’re doing things differently. Rather than give you one edition early in the year, we’re publishing a new issue every other month through the spring and summer. That means we can keep you updated with all the latest additions and news, and highlight more great events around the globe.

Issue one is out this Friday. There are interviews with Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes as he tallies up ten years of Reading & Leeds, Spring King, Wild Beasts and Issues. Boston Manor give us their survival guide to Slam Dunk, Twin Atlantic run through their favourite festival memories, we recommend the new bands you can’t miss at Live at Leeds, and Get Inuit pick their fantasy line-up. And as if that wasn’t enough, you can win tickets for a whole load of tip top fests.

There’s also all the latest line-up news, previews and full listings for this year’s festivities. You can pick one up free from record stores and venues nationwide from next week.

And if you think that’s all we’ve got up our sleeves, keep your eyes open for news of the next issue of Dork, coming very, very soon indeed.
