Isaac Gracie has dropped a brand new track, ‘Show Me Love’

  • Dork News Desk
  • October 18, 2018

Isaac Gracie has dropped a brand new track.

Titled ‘Show Me Love’, it’s the first taster of a new EP, ‘Close Up – Looking Down’. Following up on a debut album released earlier this year, it’s set for release on 16th November.

“Coming out of the first record I was in a redemptive headspace and wanted to write songs with a more empowered tone, and record them in a more optimistic light,” Isaac explains.

The track comes alongside a new video, which you can check out below.

“Some of my favourite music videos are the ones that don’t take themselves too seriously; the ones that bring a certain levity to an otherwise potentially over sincere tune.

“With this video I wanted to do something in my neighbourhood for the first time,” Isaac reveals. “The idea came from the fact that I’d taken up skipping as a means to keep fit over summer and a desire to spoof upon my futile efforts, whilst the tennis game against myself loosely represents the somewhat melodramatic nature of the song, a kind of reflection of the inwardly conflicted state of the protagonist.

“Myself and my friend Jackson Ducasse worked on the idea together.”

The track comes ahead of a short run of UK dates next month. You can check out those, and the video for ‘Show My Love’, below.

November
19 YES (The Pink Room), Manchester
20 Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
21 Trades Club, Hebden Bridge
22 Phoenix, Exeter
24 Amata, Falmouth
25 Komedia, Bath
26 Earth (Hackney Arts Centre), London
