It’s on! That secret John Peel set at Glastonbury today is definitely The Killers

  • Dork News Desk
  • June 25, 2017
Earlier today we brought you rumours that the TBA slot on Glastonbury’s John Peel stage may well be The Killers.

Now we’re calling it – it’s definitely them.

Our reporters on the ground are confirming officials have been telling fans at the stage to expect Brandon Flowers and co, while Twitter account @secretglasto – which has been right on pretty much every secret showing so far this weekend – has also stated the slot as 100% on.

That means The Killers will be on stage at 5:30pm.

A number of things in the run up to today suggested the much rumoured secret show might be on.

Firstly, it appears the Daily Star printed the news in yesterday’s paper. Which is obviously 100% reliable.

More intriguingly is analysis of the band’s stage set up. Yesterday, while playing a show in Greece, the band had their ‘bolt’ keyboard stand, leading to rumours they’ve sent their giant ‘K’ variant to the UK for Glastonbury.

Also, Killers bassist Mark Stoermer – who stepped back from the band’s live commitments last year, though with the option to appear as and when it suits – appears to be in the UK. Which is interesting.

See you back here at 5:30pm for more.
