Izzi De-Rosa gets intimate on her brand new single, ‘welcome to my life’

The track is out today, 11th November.

Izzi De-Rosa has shared a new slice of brat-pop with her new single, ‘welcome to my life’, out today.

The buzzy star’s pop-punk inspired new single is the deeply honest follow-up to ‘love u in the morning’, and has seemingly already been well-received after she recently Airdropped the track to a stranger for a Tiktok, who declared it “sick”.

The release follows shows with British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN and a vibrant set at Live at Leeds, which Dork called “mouthy, boisterous, and, above all else, a delight”. ‘welcome to my life’ is a slightly darker turn for the North Londoner, but continues in the same infectious trend as previous releases ‘Red Flags’ and ‘I Don’t Care’ set out.

On the track, Izzi shares: “Part of being human is that we daydream about and indulge in the things that we know are bad for us, whilst constantly striving to be the best versions of ourselves. And the cycle goes on.”

“I wanted to mirror this cycle in the structure of the song – the intense and overbearing bassline in the verses, coupled with the embellished storyline of smashing things, crashing cars and ‘going backwards again’ in my quest to show up as a better version of me. The verses are written to sound and feel like a reflection of how dramatic our emotions can be at times, whilst the chorus portrays the raw and vulnerable part of ourselves that we all try to hide from.”
