James Blake has announced a brand new album.
Titled ‘Friends That Break Your Heart’, the new record follows up on 2020’s ‘Before’ and ‘Covers’ EPs, as well as his 2019 album ‘Assume Form’.
Set for release on 10th September, it comes alongside a brand new single, ‘Say What You Will’, as well as a video featuring Finneas.
“The song is about finding peace with who you are and where you’re at regardless of how well other people seem to be doing,” Blake explains. “Comparison really is the thief of joy.”
On Twitter, Blake has also confirmed that Finneas isn’t a collaborator on the track itself – just the video.
“I think some people think this is a collab with Finneas,” he says. “It isn’t, though I hope to do one soon!”
I think some people think this is a collab with Finneas, it isn’t, though I hope to do one soon! I love him so much for being in this video with me. A true friend and absolute legend.
