James Vincent McMorrow celebrates the birth of his daughter with a new song called ‘Me And My Friends’

You’ll have to share your tiny keyboard now, m8.

James Vincent McMorrow has released a new song today (Friday, 29th June) to celebrate the arrival of his new baby.

“When I found out this [pregnancy] was happening I sat down and wrote something,” he says of ‘Me And My Friends’. “My intention was to release it when this tiny person showed up, so I could listen to it and always remember this point in time.

“I wanted you to know that so when you hear it you’ll know why it exists. And before you ask, nah it’s not about being a father, because wtf do I know about that anyways! It’s about chaos.”

Check out ‘Me And My Friends’ below, and his full statement after the jump.
