We knew there was one coming. Jamie T’s fourth album is set for release on September 2nd, via Virgin EMI.
Titled ‘Trick’, it arrives less than two years after 2014’s ‘comeback’ record ‘Carry On The Grudge’. For our Jimmy, that’s a pretty impressive hit rate.
Led by the already debuted single and opener ‘Tinfoil Boy’, ‘Trick’ was recorded in London and Detroit, with co-production and all instruments played by Jamie and his ‘long-time creative partner’ James Dring. A press release describes it as “the kind of brave and eclectic rock/punk/reggae/rap/pop celebration that only Jamie T could make.”
There’s probably not a “rock/punk/reggae/rap/pop celebration” section in most record stores. They may have to work that one out.
