Janelle Monae has recently been teasing a new film to accompany her upcoming album, and now she’s shared a few more details.

Apparently, it follows the “story of a young woman named Jane 57821 (Monáe), who is living in a totalitarian near-future society where citizens are referred to as ‘computers’.”

The 44-minute long film, Dirty Computer: An Emotion Picture By Janelle Monáe will co-star Tessa Thompson, who also recently featured in the video for Monáe’s collab with Grimes, ‘Pynk’.

Her third full-length, ‘Dirty Computer’ will be released on 27th April, with the film broadcast across MTV and BET the day before.
