Janet Weiss has announced she’s leaving Sleater-Kinney

The departure comes ahead of the band’s new album 'The Center Won't Hold'.

Drummer Janet Weiss has announced she’s leaving Sleater-Kinney.

Posting the news in an online statement titled “big changes”, she explains: “The band is heading in a new direction and it is time for me to move on.”

The departure comes ahead of the band’s new album ‘The Center Won’t Hold’, due 16th August. There’s also a UK tour planned for early next year.

Sleater-Kinney will play:
