Stop what you’re doing, there’s a new song about from The Japanese House

'Lilo' was inspired by a new relationship.

The Japanese House has returned from a bloody long break with a new single.

‘Lilo’ is out right now via Dirty Hit; it was inspired by one of Amber Bain’s best friends encouraging her into a new relationship.

“[It’s about] how, to me, her every movement – paired with her approach to life – seemed as serene as the image of a lilo floating across a swimming pool,” she explains. “It is a reminder to me that I am good at falling in love and I can survive falling out of it. I’m good at falling.”

Keep an eye out for more ‘stuff’ soon.

The former Dork cover star appeared on the 2017 BBC Sound Of list, but released her first EPs back in 2015. That first full-length was expected to be released at some point this year, though quite probably will now come in 2019.
