Jarvis Cocker popped up at a Belfast social club on Saturday (25th November) calling bingo numbers.
He was performing at the nearby Maple Leaf Club, joining Steve Mackey for Dancefloor Meditations – which the pair describe as “an attempt to access the state of mind associated with deep meditation using only the tools to be found in a suburban discotheque” – when he was invited over for the game.
The news follows last week’s announcement that Jarvis will act as the narrator for ABBA: Super Troupers, a brand new, immersive exhibition opening at the Southbank Centre on Thursday 14th December and running through to April 2018.

Glad to have spread true (helps as a journalist) and very positive news, given what we usually have to put up with. Here’s a clip. pic.twitter.com/iSem1z9JxK
