Jay Z has announced a brand new album.

‘4:44’ – which is also the title of a film starring Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danny Glover – will be his 13th studio album and is set for release on June 30th, exclusively via TIDAL.

Yep, we’re still doing this platform exclusivity thing, apparently.

A triler for 4:44 posted early this morning UK time features a new track ‘Adnis’. You can check that out below.

The not-exactly-unexpected news follows weeks of teasing for ‘4:44’, with billboards, web ads and other non-specific messages featuring the title appearing with no explanation as to what they were referring to. The number four is seemingly quite significant in the Beyoncé / Jay Z household – both have heir birthdays on the 4th of the month, and were married on the 4th of April. They also both have the roman numeral IV tattooed on their ring finger.
