JennyLee of Warpaint has shared her first new original music in six years, ‘Newtopia’

It'll be part of a new 'Singles Club', launching soon.

JennyLee of Warpaint has shared a brand new single ‘Newtopia’, the first taste of new original music from Jenny as a soloist since 2015’s ‘Right On!’ album.

“‘Newtopia’ is about coming to terms with how hard I can be on myself,” she explains. “It’s about finding the multiple sides of yourself, the lighter and darker sides, that push us forward. It’s about me being my own best friend.”

The track comes alongside the announcement of the JennyLee ‘Singles Club’. Following on from her vinyl releases for Record Store Day last year, which saw her share covers of Fugazi’s ‘I’m So Tired’ and Daniel Johnston’s ‘Some Things Last A Long Time’, she will be releasing a string of limited edition singles on 7 inch vinyl, exclusively restricted to 1000 copies each. She’ll also be hosting a physical singles club, where fans can come together to share their favourite singles and artworks.

More information on this and the first vinyl single – which will lead with ‘Newtopia’ – is set to follow in the coming weeks.
