joan aim for the big leagues with soaring new number ‘i loved you first’

If you want some 80s sized neon choruses and an anthem for the heart-strings, joan have you covered
Need something to shift your day to another league? Well a hands-in-the-air anthem sounds like the sort of things you need – and joan have just delivered it with their soaring new number ‘i loved you first’

The duo, hailing from Little Rock in the ‘ol USA, trade in nothing but neon-lit pop sizzlers and their latest takes things up a notch. Perfect for standing on the top of a building with a boombox in tow and blaring out loud, it’s the sort of emotional cut that could take down anything in its path and sets joan out as something a bit special.

Speaking about the track Alan Thomas from the band said:

“I went through a relationship with this girl, I thought she was the one for me. Right when I started falling for her, though, she started feeling really distant. I still had crazy feelings for her, but it turned out that she had feelings for Brandon the whole time. This one is for you, Brandon.”

Whoever Brandon may be, I’d watch out.

joan are set to tour the US in April – we’ll just be here praying for some UK dates soon. Until then though, click play on ‘i loved you first’ below. You’ll be thanking us later.
