Jorja Smith has announced the release details for her second album, ‘falling or flying’.

Following up on recent singles ‘Try Me’ and ‘Little Things’, her new full-length is set to arrive on 29th September 2023.

The news comes alongside artwork for the record, shot by prestigious British photographer Liz Johnson Artur. There’ll also be a run of live dates this September to celebrate the album’s release.

“I don’t slow down enough” Jorja says. “This album is like my brain. There’s always so much going on but each song is definitely a standstill moment.”

“It touches on breakups, relationships with my friends, relationships with old friends, relationships with myself. It’s definitely about a lot of relationships, but every song I write I can sing it to myself.’”

“This is the first time I’m putting stuff out there that I can connect with right now.”

The new live dates read:

September
28 – Pryzm, Kingston (with Banquet)
30 – Level, Nottingham (with Rough Trade)

October
4 – Outernet, London (with Rough Trade)
9 – SWX, Bristol (with Rough Trade)
