Just Mustard have announced their second album, ‘Heart Under’

Just Mustard have announced the details of their forthcoming second album.

Titled ‘Heart Under’, it’ll arrive on 27th May via Partisan Records – their first with the label.

The news comes alongside a lead single and video for ‘Still’. Vocalist Katie Ball explains: “‘Still’ is one of the earliest songs we worked on for the album and has gone through several formations. We wanted to write a song that people can dance to. Instrumentally and lyrically it surrenders itself to other emotions expressed on the album, playing with repetition, tension and release.”

‘Heart Under’ was recorded at Attica Studios in Donegal, and produced by David Wrench (Frank Ocean, Let’s Eat Grandma, Jamie xx, FKA twigs).

“This album felt very blue to us,” Ball reveals. “There was sadness and sorrow in the album, and it felt like being underwater and under something very heavy. We let that influence the music, but it wasn’t a decision – it just naturally happened that way.”

Just Mustard are set to hit the road to support the album, with a US trip next month followed by European, North American and UK dates across the rest of the year – including shows in support of their label mates Fontaines D.C..
