Khartoum are teasing their upcoming EP with new single ‘Benny’

The band's new EP is coming this August.

Khartoum are teasing their upcoming EP with new single ‘Benny’.

It’s a cut from the indie foursome’s ‘Vultures’ EP, which will be available from 20th August via Young Poet Records following a handful of live shows.

“Benny is a poignant song about a couple in cyberspace,” the band explain. “Inspired by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Bonnie & Clyde. Benny & Alice are the heroes and their time together is limited as they are downloaded, streamed and slowly lose sight of one another.

“The first demo of Benny started off with a sort of surf rock vibe to it. We felt it needed a bit more danceability and movement so we sped it up and employed a four on the floor disco vibe in the choruses to make them pop.”
