Drinking petroooooooool.
That’s what King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are doing in their latest new song, ‘Self-Immolate’.
Coming alongside a video directed by John Stewart which features the band drinking gasoline and then setting themselves on fire, it’s the latest new material from the prolific band, who only released their most recent album ‘Fishing for Fishies’ last month. That album came after a relatively big gap for King Gizz – with their previous five full-lengths ‘Flying Microtonal Banana’, ‘Murder of the Universe’, ‘Sketches of Brunswick East’, ‘Polygondwanaland’, and ‘Gumboot Soup’ all landing in 2017.
‘Self-Immolate’ follows up on another recent effort ‘Planet B’ in previewing King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s next project, which sounds pretty damn heavy to us.
The band will hit the UK this September and October, including a huge show at London’s Alexandra Palace on 5th October.
