LANY are gonna get ‘Thru These Tears’ with the first taster of their second album

The band premiered their new single with Zane Lowe on Beats 1.

LANY have kicked off their second album with a brand new track, ‘Thru These Tears’.

The LA trio are closing down their ‘rose era’ (named due to the artwork of last year’s debut album) and starting up a new one – ‘moon’. Because bands all work to eras now. Like Dinosaurs.

The song was created in the aftermath of frontman Paul Klein’s breakup with Hottest Pop Star On The Planet Right Now Dua Lipa, but the singer described the record as “bigger than a breakup album” when speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 as he premiered the track. “This is just about being human and going through the ups and downs,” he explained.

It’s the first taster of new full-length ‘Malibu Nights’, which is due later this year.
