Late of the Pier have posted a cryptic message online, sparking rumours they may be up to something.
The band released debut album ‘Fantasy Black Channel’ a decade ago, and have since gone on to become the stuff of legend to a generation that grew up on neon new rave and mid 00s indie excitement.
Now, 10 years on, a message has appeared on the band’s Facebook page.
“Time is a slippery beast,” it notes, before linking to a second page which states “it has been 10 years.”
“Who were you a decade ago? Who might you be in 2028?”
Unless it’s the longest teaser campaign since The 1975 first thought up a cryptic poster, we’d suggest some kind of tenth anniversary gubbins is at work – be it new material or a reissue of their classic debut.
Late of the Pier lost their drummer, Ross Dawson, who died in a “very sudden and tragic accident” back in 2015, while frontman Samuel Dust has released acclaimed material under the name LA Priest.
