Later… with Jools Holland announces a special live 30th birthday celebration

There will be a special one night only live show held at London's Eventim Apollo on Wednesday, 5th October

Later…With Jools Holland has announced its 30th birthday plans.

To mark the landmark milestone for the iconic BBC show, there will be a special one night only live show held at London’s Eventim Apollo on Wednesday, 5th October. The show will broadcast later this year, and the line up will be kept a secret until the night of the show.

We are promised a blend of artists from different eras and musical worlds who have appeared on the show over the years as well as one or two newer acts in line with the tradition of the show.

Speaking about the event, Jools said: “It’s unbelievable that this year sees my show reach its thirtieth birthday. It’s a testament to the great power of music that we are still going strong , and are now the longest running international music show on earth . I’m delighted and honoured that we’re going to celebrate this monumental milestone with a special one off event in the fabulous Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith the scene of so many legendary musical moments.”

Tickets will be on sale from Friday 23rd September at 10.00am.

A new series of Later… with Jools Holland, kicks off on 1st October on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. Guests this series will include The 1975, Self Esteem, Victoria Canal, Ural Thomas, Loyle Carner, Marcus Mumford, The Big Moon, Burna Boy, PVA and Phoenix
