Lazy Day have jumped back into frame, with latest number ‘All The Time’
A sweet indie-rock mover, it’s another cracker from a band who last year released their acclaimed ‘Letters’ EP before dropping another stormer in ‘Real Feel’.
Talking about the track, songwriter Tilly Scantlebury says: “I wrote ‘All the Time’ a few years ago, when I was feeling really frustrated at how difficult I was finding it to shake off all the things that were getting me down. The lyrics flit between these feelings of resentment and defeat, but I wanted the song as a whole to sound really defiant. Writing and performing ‘All the Time’ allowed me to regain some sort of control over what was happening in my life, instead of freaking out about all the things I felt like I was losing.”
“We’ve been playing the song as a band for a couple of years, and over time it has become a moment in our live show where I feel really powerful, like each time we play it I can overcome something big all over again. I really wanted to capture that energy and strength in the recording. We tracked it at the amazing Church Studios with the coolest team of people, and the whole process ended up giving the song a new life. It morphed into something so much more joyful than I could have ever hoped or imagined when I wrote it all those years ago.”
