Leeds-based trio The Boxing are today sharing their new single ‘One By One’ – check it out below, first on Dork.
The latest in a handful of discontented, psych-tinged numbers, it follows on from debut ‘Annabelle’ and follow up ‘Violet Sun’.
“We wanted to elaborate musically on the first couple of singles,” says frontman Harrison Warke, “it’s the first one we’ve recorded in a proper studio and that gave us freedom to experiment and flesh out the arrangement a bit more. The song is about depression and the culture of silence around it.”
The band play Gold Sounds festival at the Brudenell Social Club, Leeds on 20th May, alongside Shame, Kagoule, Vagabon and loads more.
