Introducing Lees, and her intimate yet powerful debut single, ‘Honeymoon Suite’

It's taken from a debut EP, set to arrive early in 2022.

South West London newcomer Lees has dropped a debut single, ‘Honeymoon Suite’.

The track is taken from a debut EP, which is set to follow early in 2022.

Growing up a vicar’s daughter in an unconventional household, as a teenager Lees challenged and then rejected religion, finding privacy in pop music, and the way making her own would allow her to create her own narrative.

A shimmering yet intimate moment, ‘Honeymoon Suite’ is an example of pop music at its most nuanced and powerful – an emotional release that serves as a compelling introduction. “This song is just a mess of memories” says Lees. “I like that it feels lyrically a bit chaotic and confusing because that’s completely what I was feeling when I wrote it. ‘Honeymoon Suite’ is about the good times flooding back, trying to appreciate them, and moving on.”
