Lewis Capaldi continues to unleash his upcoming second album, ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’, with the brand new single, ‘Pointless’.

It is the second track to be released from the project which was announced in October, and follows the global success of the lead single, ‘Forget Me’. The project is set to arrive in full on May 19th via EMI Records.

The track was created alongside Steve Mac and Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, and stems from a lyric that was originally penned by Ed Sheeran. “Ed had that lyric, ‘I bring her coffee in the morning, she brings me inner peace’”, Lewis recalls, “and pretty much every other line of that opening was just banging.”

“I don’t want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself,” he says on the new record, the full tracklist of which is currently unconfirmed. “The songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss.”
