Lewis Capaldi has released a new song, the follow-up to recent mega-hit ‘Someone You Loved’.
‘Hold Me While You Wait’ appears on his upcoming debut album ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’, set for release on 17th May.
“It’s a song I hope people don’t hate,” he said when we phoned him up for a chat this morning, “probably not as good as ‘Someone You Loved’ but I like it just as much. It’s a song about a girl who wanted to leave me and I was like, ‘Oh, c’mon let’s just have a cuddle instead and yep, she left me.”
He’ll support the release with a bunch of festivals this summer including Barn on the Farm, Truck and loads more, plus support dates with Ed Sheeran, a few massive headliners, and a big old tour in 2020 that includes a night at Wembley Arena.
“It feels strange and I don’t have a fucking clue what I’m doing,” he says of the massive headline run, “and I’m really out of my depth but I’m sure it will be fine. It always is.”
His mug also appears on the May issue of Dork, which you can pick up below.
