Lewis Capaldi hopes to release his new album next year, with 11 tracks written already for it

Look he’s not waiting around okay, what did you think he was up to while in isolation??

Proving there’s no Lewis Capal-DAY like the present, Lewis Capaldi has revealed he’s already got 11 tracks written for this second album!

Chatting to fans as a part of a special Q&A/live performance on Saturday (May 16th) in aid of CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), Mr Capaldi revealed the news as he looks ahead to what comes next

Lewis said: “I have 11 songs for the new album now, hopefully it will be out at some point next year”.

BAM. Straight to the point. We like it Lewis.

Continuing on about the writing process, he added: “Writing a follow-up to this big guy has been equal parts difficult and rewarding. Most of the time when I was making the first album I felt like I was making an arse of it.”

The arse he made out of it resulted in a debut album (‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’) which has been in the Top 10 of the UK Albums Chart ever since. Not too shabby indeed…

Last Friday, Lewis also revealed a special EP of live recordings to mark a year since the release of that debut album – check out his performance of ‘Someone You Loved’ from the BRIT Awards which features on the EP below:
