Lewis Capaldi has shared a video for his new single, ‘Pointless’.
The track is taken from his upcoming album, ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’, which is slated for release on 19 May 2023 via EMI Records. It’s the follow up to his 2019 debut ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’.
The track was created alongside Steve Mac and Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, and stems from a lyric that was originally penned by Ed Sheeran. “Ed had that lyric, ‘I bring her coffee in the morning, she brings me inner peace’”, Lewis recalls, “and pretty much every other line of that opening was just banging.”
