Lexie Carroll has just dropped a new single, ‘violet’, and announced that her new EP will release in May.
The as yet unnamed EP will follow last year’s ‘when the sun came up’, and comes after ‘annual birthday cry’ and ‘christmas day’ dropped towards the end of last year. With an impressive list of support slots from Tom Odell to Tommy Lefroy now in her arsenal, ‘violet’ is Lexie’s first release of what looks set to be a massive year.
On the track, Lexie says: “I wrote ‘violet’ because my friend was going through a difficult time and it was hard to get through to them. So in the song I’m just saying “hold on, I know your brain is saying it won’t get better, but it will”.
