Kurt Vile has released his new solo album.
His first in three years, the record is titled ‘Bottle It In’, it’s out today (Friday 12th October), and you can hear it in full below.
“Life is beautiful and terrifying and hilarious and I always thought [humour] was important,” he explains in the November issue of Dork. “Someone like Nick Cave… I’m sure that he can be funny, but also he can be very profound and dramatic, and he’s somebody who I believe every word from, but other people… I can smell when some people take themselves too seriously,” he says. “And I take myself plenty seriously, but there’s a lot of humour in life, and I just love humour as a release, you know?”
The record features guests including Kim Gordon, Mary Lattimore, Cass McCombs, Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa, and Lucius’ Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe, among others.
