Listen to unheard White Stripes track ‘City Lights’

"The track is the first new, worldwide commercially released White Stripes song since 2008,” apparently.
Jack White is having a clearout.

On September 9th, Mr. White will be releasing a 26-track compilation called ‘Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016‘. As you can probably guess it features a bunch of acoustic tracks, recorded between 1998 and 2016. We know, clever stuff.

The record features album tracks, b-sides and alternative takes from across Jack’s career including stuff from The Raconteurs, his solo works and The White Stripes. One of the tracks, ‘City Lights‘ was originally set for inclusion on The White Stripes’ ‘Get Behind Me Satan‘ but was only finished this year. Procrastinate, much?

“The track is the first new, worldwide commercially released White Stripes song since 2008,” according to The Facts. Check out ‘City Lights’ below.
