Glaswegian singer-songwriter Lizzie Reid has debuted a new single, ‘Bible’.

Signed to 7476 (Matilda Mann, Matt Maltese, tinyumbrellas), it’s her first new material since being shortlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year for 2021’s EP ‘Cubicle’.

Recorded at a Nottingham residential studio with Nottingham with regular collaborator and producer Oli Barton-Wood (Nilufer Yanya, Molly Payton, Jones), Lizzie explains: “’Bible’ is about being nervous about falling in love again. I was feeling something, and that scared me.

“I wanted to get things right this time, be important to someone, and not to bring my anxieties into the picture. Becoming involved with someone tends to bring up things within yourself. It holds a mirror up and forces me to look at myself through someone else’s eyes.”
