Calva Louise have shared their new single, ‘Getting Closer’.
A charmingly off-kilter number that features both captivating pop hooks and riotous guitars, it’s about the pains of growing up – and probably unlike anything else you’ll hear today.
“‘Getting Closer’ is about the identity crisis that young adults go through in their early twenties,” the band explain, “when they feel their time is up and they have to decide if they’ll be able to one day become the person they’ve always dreamed of being.”
The track was recorded and produced by Margo Broom (Fat White Family / Catholic Action) at Hermitage Studios and mixed by Tom Longworth (The Vryll Society / clay).
It coincides with a London residency that kicked off last week; the remaining dates are:
NOVEMBER
16 The Monarch, London
DECEMBER
02 The Water Rats, London
21 The Monarch, London
