Looks like The Maccabees will be popping up at Glastonbury

  • Dork News Desk
  • May 31, 2017
Glastonbury released its full lineup t’other day, complete with times and everything.

Well, for the most part.

Scattered about are a bunch of slots with a mysterious yet tantalising TBA pencilled in. Now, we’re pretty sure TBA aren’t a hardworking buzzy newcomer so instead, it looks like we’ve got some secret sets on our hands.

There’s a chance one will be taken by an Oasis reunion (or Liam Gallagher at the very least) but thanks to our new friends at EE, it seems like The Maccabees will also be making one last appearance at Glastonbury Festival this summer.

EE’s website is currently giving away some tickets to Glastonbury (isn’t that nice of them) along with a bit of information about the festival. “Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran will be top of the bill on the Pyramid Stage – but there are also plenty more eye-catching acts for music fans to look forward to,” the site reads. “R&B star Solange is among the acts playing the West Holts Stage while chart-topper Rag’N’Bone Man will perform on the Other Stage. Other highlights include Katy Perry roaring into the festival for her Glastonbury debut, grime star Stormzy and indie favourites The Maccabees, who will be playing one of their final farewell shows before they disband.“

That’s good enough for us!

The band are about to start on a victory lap before heading to the big afterparty in the sky. They’ve got some shows big ol’ UK shows, some small UK shows and that recently announced gig at London’s Omeara.
