It looks like there’s a The Weeknd / Daft Punk collab on the cards

Internet detective time.
If we’re talking about big collabs, then whispers of a team up between Daft Punk and The Weeknd has to come high up the list.

In a recent Billboard piece, the magazine gathered a “Hitmakers Roundtable”, where Republic Records’ executive VP and head of urban A&R Wendy Goldstein let slip the news.

“Actually, we have a session coming up in two days … with The Weeknd and Daft Punk,” Goldstein said. “I’ve always been a massive Daft Punk fan, and this is the first time that I’ve actually been involved with an artist who’s going to go and work with them.”

While we don’t know when the interview took place, it was posted on Wednesday 17th. The same day as The Weeknd posted this photo.

Its on.
