The Lottery Winners are on course for a Number 1 album.
The Manchester band are currently topping the charts in the midweeks with their new album, ‘Anxiety Replacement Therapy’, with Jessie Ware and The National also appearing in the Top 5.
If the group secure the spot later this week, it will mark their highest charting release following 2020’s ‘The Lottery Winners’ (23) and 2021’s ‘Something To Leave The House For’ (11).
Frontman Thom Rylance says: “It’s mad to be in this position for our little band from Leigh that aren’t so little anymore. We’re going toe to toe with some amazing acts who sell out arenas worldwide, but we’re delighted to be in it and we’ve got the best fans in the world.
“It’s amazing to have had all these acts from different experiences of making music in the charts and where they’ve come from to now, but I bet ours is really different to any of theirs… my Dad’s a joiner, and he’s not even good at it! How are we in this position! It’s dead exciting.”
