Loyle Carner brings gospel to a banger-filled Radio 1 session

The South Londoner even spun his own take on A Tribe Called Quest
Loyle Carner is well and truly in that moment where everything he touches turns to gold, as shown by a heavyweight session on Radio 1 last night (January 4th).

Joined by Rebel Kleff and the House Gospel Choir (yeah, you read that right – the House Gospel Choir) on Mistajam’s evening show, Loyle burst through latest cut ‘The Isle Of Arran’ and classic slammer ‘Ain’t Nothing Changed’ before launching into a swagger-filled cover of A Tribe Called Quest’s ‘Check The Rhime’.

Now that’s how to take over.

Loyle is gearing up for the release of his debut album ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ on January 20th, before heading out on his biggest UK headline tour to date in February (which include two bloody huge nights at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on February 17th and 18th respectively).

Loyle Carner features in next month’s magazine, chatting through ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ and his road to 2017 – which you can pre-order right blooming now.
