M.I.A. has said in a Periscope Q&A – the source of all M.I.A. news these days – that her new album will be released in “July”.
“It’s got 12 songs,” she explained. “I had to take the Disney thing off. I put ‘Galang’ on it instead, I sampled myself. I wanted to say, ‘Whatever, I can’t get Lion King, I’m gonna use my own song! That way no one can like, stop it.”
The new album is the long-awaited follow up to 2013’s ‘Matangi’. When asked if there’s a UK tour coming up during the same Q&A, she answered “maybe”. Here’s hoping.
