Mac DeMarco has set up his own label, Mac’s Record Label

  • Dork News Desk
  • August 8, 2018

Mac DeMarco has decided to go it by himself, setting up his own label.

Creatively titled Mac’s Record Label, a statement explains the name was picked out alongside his friend Jen Twynn Payne, drummer of The Courtneys. Great minds and all that.

Material released via Mac’s Record Label will be distributed by Caroline, which provides support for releases by all kinds of professional endeavours and organisations including Epitaph, ATO and Fool’s Gold. It’s in good hands, basically. We’re not relying on Mac DeMarco sending out press releases here.

DeMarco is also heading off on a batch of new solo tour dates this November and December. Titled the ‘Purple Bobcat Next to River Tour’, you can check out the run below.

3-4 Long Beach, CA – Tropicalia Fest
12 Phoenix, AZ – Valley Bar
13 Albuquerque, NM – Sister Bar
14 Oklahoma City, OK – ACM Performance Lab

20 Charlotte, NC – McGlohon Theater
