Magdalena Bay have just released their ‘Mini Mix Vol. 3’, a seven-track collection that arrives right before the duo take to the stage at this weekend’s Coachella.
The new mini mix follows the duo’s 2021 album ‘Mercurial World’, and comes with a full-length music video featuring stop-motion slugs, tongue puppets and more.
The eclectic mix is the latest in the series, which Mica Tenenbaum and Matt Lewin have been releasing since 2019. Speaking about the mini mix series, the duo said in a press release, “Our mini mixes delve into eclectic sounds, sometimes pastiche. We feel less pressure while making them than with a more serious release so they naturally have a fun spirit to them. The mini mix knows no bounds in terms of genre or stylings. The only rule is we try to keep the songs relatively short, but we don’t really enforce that all too much.”
