Maisie Peters has released a new Cavetown reworking of her tune, ‘Sad Girl Summer’.

“I wanted to approach this remix in an unconventional way by not hearing the original song before working on my remix,” Cavetown explains. “Maisie sent me the vocal stems and that was all I heard!

“It was super interesting to build around vocals like that with no other knowledge of the song, and also fascinating to compare my interpretation with her original afterwards. I really appreciate the trust Maisie gave me to just let my imagination run free.”

To celebrate the release, both artists will be on Instagram Live together at 7pm BST tonight. In the meantime, you can give it a listen below.

Maisie Peters is currently working on her debut album.
