  • Dork News Desk
  • March 14, 2016
Manic Street Preachers’ Nicky Wire and James Dean Bradfield have wriiten songs for a forthcoming musical.

Before I Leave is written my Wire’s brother, Patrick Jones, and is a production of the National Theatre Wales. Described as having a similar tone to 90s British films like The Full Monty, Brassed Off and Billy Elliott, it centres on a community choir whose members are living with dementia who form, audition for Britain’s Got Talent, and almost break up.

As well as the new tracks, the musical will feature “an eclectic mix of covers”. It plays at Cardiff’s Sherman Theatre from May 27th.
