Mannequin Pussy’s new video for ‘Cream’ is creepy stuff

It's a cut from the band’s upcoming third album ‘Patience’.

Mannequin Pussy have shared a new video for ‘Cream’.

A cut from the band’s upcoming third album ‘Patience’, out 21st June via Epitaph, the clip takes inspiration from horror tropes – as director Hanna Hamilton explains.

“‘Cream’ was inspired by the idea of working with Marisa [Dabice, guitar and vocals] and her sister. I wanted them to play each other’s’ doppelgänger in traditional horror tropes.

“This idea guided the design of the sets: 3 movable rooms each made to support a specific practical effect. I love the juxtaposition of horror with bright colors so we wanted the video to have a vibrant 70s look.

“In addition to the stylized wardrobe and set dressing we also used a vintage Cooke zoom super 16 lens and formatted the video to 4:3 to enhance this feel. Aside from that, the demons pretty much did the rest!”

Check out ‘Cream’ below.
