Marsicans show off their roly poly skills in the new video for ‘Throw Ourselves In’

Great moves, guys.
Leeds’ Marsicans have dropped a video for their new indie-bop, ‘Throw Ourselves In’.

The clip sees the boys testing their gymnast skills up against some guys who are, um, pretty good, we guess…

“Luke is a good friend of ours who’s a gymnast,” says frontman James Newbigging. “He and I were driving to town one day and we had the idea of crossing our two worlds over.

“As a band, we liked the idea of making the ‘Throw Ourselves On’ video a jokey one and wanted to go as slapstick as we could with it. It was all done in-house: we put the story together, our friend Woody filmed and edited it and Rob, our manager, made his directing debut.

“Luke brought in some amazing gymnast friends of his in Harry O’Neill, Ashley Watson and Nile Wilson. You might recognise Nile from the Rio 2016 Olympics. He took home a bronze medal for Team GB – legend!

“They all brought some class to the video and it was great being able to watch them perform, although I doubt they’d say the same about watching our routines.”
